How it's calculated

Wall volume
Net wall area (length × height minus openings) is multiplied by the wall thickness.

Units & mortar
We divide by the size of one brick or block including a 10 mm joint. The space left over is mortar.

Cement & sand
Wet mortar × 1.33 gives dry volume, split by your mix ratio. Cement is converted to 50 kg bags, sand to cubic feet. 5% wastage is added.
